Six months old, odd looking growth. Six months ago, from the distance, my first thought was: "A caterpillar". After a closer look, I thought it was a new miss formed leaf; however, there is no leaf missing and there is no place for a new leaf there. Furthermore, the "growth" is hard, and connect at both ends with "cane". It is very visible and about 8mm long. A mystery. - Ptst Dusky Duke
